Seger i första matchen

FVBK is off to a strong start in Denmark winning their first match of the weekend against NTNUI. It was unclear whether FVBK would be able to bounce back after suffering three series losses in a row previous to this weekend’s competition, not to mention Fayez Alloush was unfortunately unable to join the team due to immigration issues. This first win with 3-0 will hopefully serve to boost FVBK’s confidence, and give them momentum for the rest of the weekend.
FVBK 3 - 0 NTNUI (25-20, 25-17, 26-24)
In the first set FVBK was clearly more prepared, and held an easy lead the entire time. NTNUI missed multiple serves and wasn’t able to push back. Christofer Lewin stepped up for FVBK in the starting lineup, and did a great job passing under pressure in serve receive. Silva also had big kills at the beginning of the match to give FVBK the start they needed.
NTNUI left sides struggled in the second set, and during a six point service run by Pedro Mendes FVBK was able to gain the lead, and win the set comfortably.
It wasn’t until the third set NTNUI’s attacking seemed to find a rhythm and FVBK’s block was struggling to turn things around. In the end NTNUI missed too many key serves, and FVBK’s defensive intensity picked up. Lewin had multiple kills towards the end of the set in difficult situations helping FVBK feel strong despite being under 24-23. A Silva back spike saved NTNUI's set ball. Sebbe Angel then came in to put the norwegians under pressure from the serve line. HIs second serve was an ace securing the 3-0 win for FVBK
