Spännande toppmöte mot Linköpings VC
2012-01-20Denna säsongen har LVC varit ostoppbart helt enkelt. Fyra tappade set under hela serien och ett GP Guld säger allt. FVBK har också skrapat ihop en skaplig säsong med bara en förlust i serien hittils mot just LVC. En spännande Clash of the Titans väntar i söndagens seriefinal!
Australian Coach Andrew Strugnell has done an impressive job with this year’s LVC. The team centers around 2 outstanding national team players from down unda’, setter Harrison Peacock and phenomenal spiker Luke Smith. Both are in their second season in Sweden and have grown not only in their own skills but in their ability to make the players around them better. The players around them are stars in their own right and have blossomed more this season than ever. National team högerspiker Martin Larsson has become the stable ball killer a team needs to win big matches, while Eriksson brothers, Anton and Albin, build a reception unit that has proven difficult to crack so far this year.
FVBK is however not yet ready to just hand over the title of Swedish Champions. Performance in practice as well as matches has shown that we are not the same team that lost to LVC 0-3 in Falkhallen in October. A 3-1 loss in a very well played GP final proves that we’re on the right track but much work is to be done if we’re gonna be able to challenge for the Gold in April. You can expect both teams to be sending the same message in sunday’s match: If you want this, you need to FIGHT for it.
